Where in the world is that’s Caring?
This may come as good news to all you Bears, Cubs, Sox, Bulls and Hawks fans out there. That’s Caring is located right outside Chicago in the town of Elk Grove Village, Illinois. We’re proud of our sports teams, sure, but we’re more proud of our central location. If life were a game of Stratego, we would have the best location to send out all your gifts.
How do you choose your products?
We put ourselves in your shoes and asked, WWWW (what would we want)? Long story short, our list included natural, organic, fair trade, and locally sourced products. So if it's good for the Earth, good for you, and comes from our hood (Chicago), then it's likely in our gifts. Oh, and a special shout out to products that come from not-for-profit organizations. We like what you do, too.
But if we're really stumped, we just put a bunch of names in a hat and pick the old-fashioned way.
Can I send multiple gifts to the same place and to get there on the same day?
Of course you can. But just because you order two college care packages on the same day doesn’t mean they will get to your twin nieces’ dorm rooms at the same time. Give us a call when you place your order, and we will make that happen for you.
How the heck do I order a gift?
For anyone who’s ever ordered online, we use the “shopping bag” method. If that answers your question, then stop reading and start shopping.
For all those new to the online shopping world, welcome! Ok, now that we got that out of the way, here’s how it works.
1. Click “add to cart” next to the gift you wish to purchase. If you’re done with your purchase, then it’s time to checkout. Otherwise, go back to our products page and search for more gifts by clicking “continue shopping.”
2. Once you’ve finished picking out your gifts, it’s time to view your cart. Make sure the names and quantities of your gifts are correct. Click on “update” if you changed the quantities of any of your gifts, and click “remove” if you changed your mind about a gift and no longer wish to purchase it.
3. Enter a coupon code if you are so lucky as to have received one.
4. Click “Proceed to checkout” if you are shipping to one address.
Click on “Checkout with Multiple Addresses” if you are shipping to more than one address.
5. New visitors can either check out as a guest or take a few minutes to fill out a customer information sheet so we make sure to get your order right. Returning customers just need to log-in.
6. Now you enter your billing information. Then choose either to ship to your billing address or ship to different address.
7. If shipping to billing address, skip to step 8. If you choose ship to different address, enter the address or addresses you would like to ship to.
8. Next choose your shipping option, all gifts ship out via UPS. If orders are placed before 2 pm CST Monday through Friday, they will ship same day. If orders are placed after 2 pm Monday-Friday or on the weekends, then they will ship out next business day.
9. If you would like to add a card with a gift message, check the checkbox as you see below and enter your message.

10. Next, fill in your payment information.
11. Review your order, submit, and voilà!

Do I have to pay for my gifts?
Yes, yes you do. We take payment in the form of Discover, Visa, Mastercard or American Express. If you are interested in setting up a corporate billing account, call Jamie at 224-366-5323 or e-mail her at jamie@thatscaring.com. Unfortunately at this time we do not accept trading cards, frequent flyer miles or IOUs as valid forms of payment.
My parents live in Bora Bora. Do you ship internationally?
Our deepest apologies to your parents, but we do not ship internationally. Right now, we’re bringing green to the continental U.S. (unfortunately, that means no Hawaii and no Alaska), but you can check back with us at a later date to see if we’ve expanded our borders. And if this is you checking back already, the answer is no, we still don’t ship internationally.
How much is shipping?
We don’t discriminate based on size, weight, cost, products included, shipping location, IQ of recipient, shoe size or favorite movie. Our UPS ground shipping rate is always $7.95 and UPS next day air is $29.95
If you place an order to a PO Box or to a military address, the rate is still $7.95, however we ship these orders via USPS, and they do not come with tracking information.
When will my gifts arrive?
The early bird catches the worm, or in this case, catches same day shipping. All orders placed by 2 PM CST will be shipped same day Monday through Friday. Never fear, procrastinators and late-risers. Gifts ordered after 2 PM CST, over the weekend or on holidays will be shipped out the following business day.
Unless expedited shipping is chosen, all gifts ship via UPS ground-map (as seen below), and all shipping/tracking information will be sent directly to you.

When are your office hours?
You can call customer support (224-366-5323) on Monday through Friday between 9:00am and 5:00pm to talk to a real live person. Calling outside business hours won’t connect you with a live human as we are out saving the Earth, but you will get to hear our lovely voice via voicemail.
My salsa jar broke! Now what?
Bummer. Well, if it’s broken when you get it, give us a call, and we’ll replace it. In fact, if there is anything wrong with your gift basket upon arrival, call us, and we will mend the situation stat. We do not, however, replace empty jars or baskets, that is, unless you order another one.
What’s so green about you?
So glad you asked. Besides the color of our boxes, just about everything we do is green somehow. From our packaging and transportation to most of our products, we believe in biodegradable, reusable, renewable and carbon-neutral. Can I buy in bulk?
You can buy anywhere from 1 to 1,001 gift baskets, but not a single more. Just kidding. If you’ve got the credit limit, you can buy a million if you really wanted to. There are no limits as to how many gifts you can buy at one time.
