Giving Green and Living Green: How We Got Started | ThatsCaring.com

How We Started Giving Green

How did we start giving green, you ask? It all started with a gift basket. Actually, it started with several. We gave and we gave - mostly gifts for holidays, special occasions, thank yous and things like that, but every so often we gave them just for the heck of it – and after a while, we noticed how much waste was involved. Between the wrappings, the boxes, the garbage, the unnatural products within the baskets, there had to be a better way to give.

So, we started That’s Caring, the eco-friendly solution to giving. Then we did a little research - ok, a lot of research – on anything and everything from recycled to biodegradable to locally sourced products. We searched for non-profits and other socially responsible organizations for products and packages because what we put in the baskets is just as important as how it is packaged.

Our search for the most sustainable products and packaging is an on-going process, but we feel confident when we say we have found and put together a wide variety of high-quality, Earth-friendly gift baskets. It always feels good to give, but giving green feels even better.
